A curated concert experience
The culminating performance serves as the centerpiece of Banyan Dance Festival featuring a dynamic evening of original works created.
The program includes full-length works by Choreography Residents Sean Aaron Carmon and Babatunji Johnson, alongside new work by the selected choreography fellow, invited dance companies, and artists selected through the Call for Works.
This will be the first performance of its kind in South Florida, bringing together multiple pathways of artistic development onto one shared stage.

Banyan Gala, an intimate preview through a curated evening of performance excerpts.
The Banyan Gala will gathering artists, audiences, and community together in celebration of a week of creation.
The night will begin with a cocktail hour designed for connection and a chance to meet the festival artists, choreographers, invited companies sponsors, and partners, and share in conversation.
Guests will then be invited into an exclusive preview of the festival’s culminating performance. In this intimate setting, you’ll experience excerpts of selected works up close offering a rare window into the creative process and the artistry that has unfolded throughout the week. It’s an opportunity to not only watch the work, but to feel the people and stories behind it.
The evening closes with a reception in the courtyard, where guests can continue conversations, reflect on the performances, and celebrate the community that made the festival possible.
With limited availability, the Banyan Gala is a shared moment of artistry and connection.
