The inaugural Banyan Winter Lab is an immersive four-day experience designed for advanced dancers ages 16–25 who are ready to deepen their artistry, expand their movement practice, and engage in meaningful creative process.
Each day begins with masterclasses led by Banyan Dance Festival Founder, & Artistic Director Branndi Lewis and Festival Artistic Programs Director Loni Landon.
The second portion of the day shifts from training into repertory and creative process. Dancers will work with Nicholas Garlo to learn repertory from Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, featuring choreography by Artistic Director Rami Be’er. Following repertory, dancers will enter a creative process with Alexander Anderson.
Throughout the Lab, dancers will also have opportunities to participate in curated recovery and wellness experiences, creating space to restore, connect, and support the demands of intensive physical and artistic practice.
The Lab will culminate in an intimate, informal showing, giving dancers the opportunity to share their work and process with an invited audience in a relaxed studio setting.
The Banyan Winter Lab is designed for dancers who are curious, committed, and ready to engage as artists.

Dates: December 19–22, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM daily
Location: Ballet Florida, 700 S. Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL 33401
Tuition: $500
Housing & Travel: Not included. Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own housing and transportation. However, Banyan administration will assist out-of-town dancers with locating affordable housing near the Lab location.
Participant Eligibility
The Banyan Winter Lab is open to:
Dancers ages 16–25
Advanced dancers
Dancers interested in contemporary dance, repertory, choreography, and creative process
Artists who are prepared to participate fully in a rigorous four-day training and creative environment
